Tricine 用作分离低分子量肽的缓冲组分。 Tricine 可用于冷冻保存介质，用于保存组织和器官。冷冻保存取决于所用保存介质的物理和化学特性。据报道，tricine/DMSO 混合物的 pH 值和 pK 值低至 -20 °C。在辐射诱导的膜损伤研究中，已发现 Tricine 是一种有效的羟基自由基清除剂。在分离 1 至 100 kDa 范围内的蛋白质时，Tricine 通常是 SDS-PAGE 系统中选择的缓冲液。
