Aluminum Chloride Hexahydrate is a multipurpose reagent. It is often used as a model soil mineral in environmental studies. Aluminum Chloride Hexahydrate has also been shown to be useful in the manufacturing of ion exchangers on superparamagnetic microparticles for the recovery of phosphate from waste water.
