1,5-Anhydro-2,3,4-trideoxy-2-[[(1,1-dimethylethoxy)carbonyl]amino]-D-erythrohexitol acts as a reagent in the preparation of topoisomerase inhibitors with potent anti-gram-positive activity. Used in the formation of dipeptide isoteres.
