N,N-Dimethylazepan-4-amine can be used in the preparation of cytosine derivatives as antimicrobial agents. It can also be used in the preparation of ethynylthiazole derivatives as allosteric modulators of metabotropic glutamate receptor 5. N,N-Dimethyl-4-azepanamine Dihydrochloride (CAT#B413170) can be used in the preparation of substituted sulfonyl triazoles and related heteroaryl compounds as as NLRP3 inhibitors. It is also used in the preparation of 4-arylsulfonyl-3-(2-amino-2-oxoethyl)-3,4-dihydro-2(1H)-pyrazinone derivatives as bradykinin B1 receptor antagonists.
