2',4'-Dichloroacetophenone is used as a reagent in the synthesis of sydnone sulfonamide derivatives as antibacterial, antifungal, antiproliferative, and anti-HIV agents. Also used as a reagent in the synthesis of pyrimidine thiazolidinone conjugates which exhibit anticancer activity.
