2-Hydroxy-1,4-benzoxazin-3-one is a benzoxazinoid compound which is a plant secondary defensive metabolite that is found in cereal crops such as maize, wheat and rye. These compounds often show antifeedant, insecticidal, and antimicrobial activity.
