5-Methoxy-2-methylindole-3-carboxaldehyde, is an intermediate in the preparation of many pharmaceutically active indole derivatives. It is used for the synthesis of 2-Methylserotonin (M326855), which is a derivative of the neurotransmitter serotonin (S274980).
